They serve delicious coffee, have 24 rotating beer taps, frequently host live music, and have two onsite food trucks: Veracruz All Natural for tacos and Dee Dee for Thai street food.

This coffee shop serves and roasts its own beans in this cool space they share with a bike shop. Because they make some of the best coffee in Austin, many restaurants around town buy their beans, which you can do to because they sell bags of their coffee both in store and online.

This stunning piece of architecture that overlooks Lady Bird Lake is about community as much as it is about books. There are reading porches with rooftop seating overlooking Lady Bird Lake if you want to read, get work done, or just take in the views. On the second floor, check out the small gallery space that houses temporary art exhibits. If you need a little refreshment, Cookbook Bar and Cafe has meals made from recipes found in the pages of iconic cookbooks, literary themed cocktails, and demonstrations from touring food authors. If you want to delve deeper, they offer tours on Thursdays and Saturdays at 12:30. Registration begins at noon at the docent station located on the 2nd floor.

Stop by their modern yet cozy space for some of the best coffee in the city and a pastry or a Tacodeli breakfast taco. In the evening they serve beer and wine, and if you stop by on the weekend, they serve waffles in the shape of Texas. They have two additional locations in the city.
