Folly Beach

Laid-back beach with a pier

Red Heart Full_3x.png
Red Heart Outline.png

Head down to the beach to soak up some sun, sign up your older kids for a surf lesson at one of the best surfing beaches in South Carolina, or cast a line on the pier for some saltwater fishing. When you are done here, head over to the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve. Make the half mile walk on a paved path that is covered from beginning to end with colorful graffiti out to a little beach where you can see the Morris Island Lighthouse. If you get hungry while you are in the area, stop by Taco Boy for a bite to eat.

Home Team BBQ

Laid-back spot for drinks and pulled pork

Red Heart Full_3x.png
Red Heart Outline.png

This is a great, relaxed place to stop by for some food and a drink, but be careful around their famous (and dangerous) Game Changer! Try their pulled pork by itself, on nachos, in a sandwich and in many other iterations. In addition to offering up other barbeque staples they serve chicken wings that are a real crowd pleaser. In addition to their kids menu that comes with the requisite coloring book, there is a fenced-in area outside with chalkboards as well. They also have locations on Sullivan's Island and in West Ashley.
