Order coffee and a smoothie to go or sit down for breakfast and a bloody mary. This hip market and cafe sells beer, wine, produce, and prepared foods in addition to the healthy, hot foods they serve. If you get hungry while you are perusing art, they also have a location at the Gibbes Museum. Stop by their sister restaurant, Butcher & Bee, and their food hall, Warehouse, if you are in NoMo.

Leon's

Fried chicken, oysters and frozen drinks

Red Heart Full_3x.png
Red Heart Outline.png

Housed in a beautifully restored auto-body shop, this local favorite serves up seafood and southern staples. More specifically, their fried chicken and oysters draw in the crowds. And while those crowds will most likely mean a bit of a wait because they don't take reservations, order a frozen gin and tonic for an enjoyable wait. Once your done your meal, cap everything off with some soft-serve ice cream. If you like it here, try Melfi's and Little Jack's which are run by the same people who run Leon's.

With cheap tickets, food, and beer, it is no wonder that locals love going to RiverDogs games. And while the games are always a good time, they are especially fun on Thirsty Thursdays when beers are only a dollar. Keep an eye out for Bill Murray, a co-owner of the team who loves to go to the games.
